Mighty Oaks Foundation

Mighty Oaks is committed to serving military & first responder communities who have endured hardship around the globe through intensive peer-based discipleship Programs, outpost meetings, speaking, and Resiliency events. We have Programs for Men, Women, and Married Couples at multiple locations nationwide and globally. Those who attend our Programs are fully sponsored, to include meals, lodging and travel, ensuring their sole focus is on recovery and empowering them to identify their purpose as they move forward.

After facing severe psychological, emotional, and spiritual challenges after his service in Afghanistan, Chad Robichaux recognized that many other combat veterans were struggling with similar issues. Determined to make a difference, Chad founded Mighty Oaks, turning his personal pain into a mission to help others. Supported by mentors and faith in God’s promise in Isaiah 61:3, Chad and his wife Kathy launched the Mighty Oaks Warrior Programs (MOWP), beginning with small groups of veterans in Colorado.

MOWP employs a peer-to-peer model that empowers veterans to heal and positively influence others. This grassroots approach gained traction quickly, with warriors referring their peers and major support from US Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Battalion West. As the demand grew, partnerships with organizations like Serving California enabled the expansion of Mighty Oaks, including the construction of SkyRose Lodge and additional locations in Texas, Virginia, and Ohio.

Mighty Oaks has become a key resource for the US military, training over half a million service members in resiliency and offering spiritual guidance through resources like The Path to Resiliency. Today, with over 6,000 alumni, Mighty Oaks continues its mission to challenge and equip warriors to find hope, purpose, and healing, while sharing their strength with others. Scholarships for all Programs are fully funded, ensuring active-duty and veteran military personnel, as well as their spouses, can participate at no cost.
