All We Are is a nonprofit organization bringing sustainable energy solutions to communities in Uganda. We envision a world where everybody has access to affordable energy through community-focused, renewable solutions.
All We Are started as an initiative to provide computers to students in Uganda. At age 16, founder Nathan Thomas began collecting used computers from his local community in Ohio to send to villages in need of technology. This project laid the groundwork for All We Are’s focus on improving communities through educational access. We quickly learned that these schools had much more basic needs to be met—namely, access to energy. So we shifted our focus to providing sustainable energy to schools through the SUN program.
Over half of Uganda’s population live without access to electricity. We believe that where there's power, there's development. Solar unlocks the possibilities.
