KairosPDX

Founded in 2012, KairosPDX exists to disrupt long-standing educational inequities in Portland, particularly for historically underserved communities. Our culturally responsive framework asserts that academic success is a whole-child endeavor. We are crafting a new narrative around children and families by placing strength, excellence, and achievement at the forefront—a model for what education can look like when Black children are seen, valued and given an opportunity to thrive. KairosPDX is one of the few majority Black-founded, Black-led, and Black-serving organizations in the Pacific Northwest.
