One Tree Planted

Founded in 2014, One Tree Planted Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization on a global mission to reforest our planet, provide education and awareness on the importance of trees in our ecosystem, and inspire engagement and action. We are action-oriented and seek to have impact through quality and community-driven tree planting projects throughout North America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and the Pacific.

The success of the Monarch Butterfly Habitat Restoration Project opened many doors to the possibility of recreating reforestation efforts at larger scales across the Monarch Butterfly Biosphere Reserve. This project is the first step for conservation efforts in Michocan areas for years to come.

Plant Trees For Impact

Reforestation is one of the best ways to restore ecosystems that have been degraded and deforested. Plant trees to support restoration work in the locations where it is needed most. Learn more

Planting trees for Impact will contribute to:

- Growing healthy, resilient forests

- Restoring habitat for iconic biodiversity

- Supporting local communities from city to forest

Every One Tree Planted project has its own unique challenges and opportunities, but what holds true no matter where you go is that when done correctly, reforestation changes lives for the better. When you Plant trees for Impact, you are making it possible for our reforestation partners, who have dedicated their lives to restoring the landscapes they love, to do what they do best: plant trees where they are needed the most. Reforestation helps the environment by guaranteeing or accelerating the re-establishment of healthy forest structure after extreme events such as forest fires, regrowing the forest canopy, and preserving biodiversity within the ecosystem.

Plant Mangrove Trees

Mangroves play a vital role in our tropical and subtropical ecosystems. Found where the ocean meets land, they protect our coastlines and keep our beaches beautiful. Learn more

With your help, we will:

- Restore biodiversity in marine ecosystems

- Increase capacity for 5-10x more carbon storage

- Protect coastal communities from rising sea levels & storm surges

Mangroves play a vital part in our tropical and subtropical ecosystems. Found where the ocean meets land, they protect our coastlines, keep our beaches beautiful, restore biodiversity in marine ecosystems, and store 5 to 10 times more carbon than land ecosystems. However, like many other tree species, mangroves are at risk. Some estimate that approximately 1% of our mangroves are lost yearly, posing a major threat to coastline communities. With your donation, we can restore our mangrove forests to protect vulnerable communities from rising sea levels and storm surges while also preventing soil erosion.

Forest Fire Recovery

Reforestation is one of the best ways to restore lands that have been degraded by forest fires. Plant trees in British Columbia, Alberta, and more to help restore what has been lost. Learn more

With your help, we will:

- Reforest lands damaged by record-setting fires

- Support habitat for iconic biodiversity

- Create a positive impact for generations to come

Year after year, forest fires grow in intensity as climate change continues to provide the perfect conditions for these fires to flourish. The good news is, reforestation can help restore these lands. Around the world, we’re planting trees in areas that have been severely affected by forest fires and aren't able to recover a healthy ecosystem on their own. These trees will be planted in places like British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario, Mexico, Bhutan, and more to help support habitats, reforest lands, and create a positive impact for generations to come. Help restore these vital ecosystems by planting a tree.
