Birdseed Collective was founded with a mission to foster creativity, inclusivity, and community engagement through art and education. Over the years, we have grown from a small grassroots effort to a well-established organization that actively collaborates with local schools, artists, and businesses. Through our location at our Globeville Center, we have provided invaluable resources to underserved youth, offering them a safe and nurturing space to express themselves and develop essential life skills. Our past projects have included mural painting initiatives, music workshops, and academic tutoring programs, all designed to empower and uplift the local community.
Birdseed Collective working in Globeville, has been dedicated to providing youth-focused arts, health, education, cultural activities and community engagement programs. Birdseed’s commitment is to serve all youth equitably, with particular attention to marginalized or underserved populations which is Globeville.
Birdseed Collective's Spring Fest 2026 is a celebration of community, creativity, and our shared commitment to caring for the place we call home. Bringing together local artists, growers, educators, musicians, and neighbors, the festival will showcase hands-on activities, environmental education, and practical solutions that inspire climate action at the community level. From native plant workshops and recycling initiatives to local food, live performances, and opportunities to connect with organizations making a difference, Spring Fest demonstrates that meaningful climate action begins with people working together. By planting seeds of knowledge, stewardship, and collaboration, Birdseed Collective is helping build a healthier, more resilient future—one that grows stronger with every person who joins the effort.
Birdseed Collective’s Summer Concert and Backpack Distribution brings the community together for an uplifting day of music, connection, and support for local families. This annual event celebrates the power of community by pairing live performances from local artists with the distribution of school supplies and backpacks to help students start the school year with confidence and the resources they need to succeed. Through the joy of music, the generosity of neighbors, and the spirit of giving, Birdseed Collective creates a welcoming space where families can connect, celebrate, and feel supported. By combining arts, community care, and practical assistance, this event reflects our belief that small acts of kindness can create lasting impact and help every member of our community thrive.

Each year, Birdseed Collective’s Globeville Turkey Box Giveaway brings neighbors together during the holiday season to share gratitude, generosity, and community care. The event provides local families with holiday meal boxes filled with essential ingredients, including a turkey and traditional fixings, helping ensure that everyone has the opportunity to gather around a nourishing meal with loved ones. More than a food distribution, the Turkey Box Giveaway is a celebration of connection and belonging—bringing together volunteers, community partners, and residents in the spirit of giving. Rooted in the belief that strong communities are built by caring for one another, Birdseed Collective continues to support Globeville families through compassion, collaboration, and a commitment to making the holidays brighter for all.
