Jacky was worried when her usually joyful daughter Jayline became so sick that she didn’t want to play anymore. Doctors discovered a cancerous tumor on her kidney that had spread to other parts of her body.
But Jayline is a fighter. Doctors removed a kidney and fought her other tumors with radiation and chemotherapy. Amazingly, her baby brother was born in the same hospital on the day she began receiving treatments!
Her family spent three months at the Ronald McDonald House, Jayline’s smile spreading happiness all along. At last, she was able to ring that cancer-free bell and head home. She was so glad to be done, but also said she’d really miss the Ronald McDonald House!
