Perfect Harmony Health

Perfect Harmony Health (formerly the George Center Foundation) believes that just because healthcare is innovative does not mean that it should be a luxury. Our mission is to provide free and reduced therapeutic, educational, and performing arts-based resources to families of individuals with neurologic, developmental, and neurodegenerative disease and dysfunction. This includes, but is not limited to, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Mental Health, Parkinson's Disease, TBI, Alzheimer's, and Dementia. Our team of neurologic music therapists offers our clients accessible and meaningful care and access to the healing medium of music, and as Hans Christian Anderson once wrote, "where words fail, music speaks."

“We are beyond happy with our experience at Perfect Harmony Health and working with [our therapist]! Neurologic Music Therapy has been like a multiplier on the progress of traditional therapies for my son with cerebral palsy. Over the past year his vocalizations and speech approximations have exploded after beginning NMT. I am so impressed by his ability to sing along with [our therapist] and even along with the radio in the car now. His breath capacity and control has improved through learning how to blow bubbles, play a recorder, and now play the melodica. Most recently, he has gained increased control over his hands after [our therapist] paired opening and relaxing to a simple song. His OT has even commented that his hands are more relaxed, less fisted, and he seems to be opening them more easily. NMT is his favorite and most fun therapy and he loves spending time with [his therapist]. She is so kind, patient, professional, and really cares about connecting with my son and making sure he has a great experience while still focusing on meeting his goals. NMT has been a perfect complement to traditional speech and occupational therapies and I would highly recommend making NMT a priority in a child's regular therapy routine.”

Singing with Parkinson’s Choir

Research in music therapy and neuroscience has shown that music synchronizes neural activity- and can improve patients’ cognitive motor, sensorimotor, and speech/language symptoms. Neurologic Music Therapists design our Parkinson's Choir to address limitations and struggles with disease and culminate in a staged community concert! Patients report that participation in singing activities and music with a strong rhythm has improved their gait, breath support, mood, motor control, and ability to perform consecutive tasks.

This therapeutic group is FREE and open to anyone with a Parkinson's diagnosis (& their caretakers!).

Individuals at any stage of the disease are welcome and can benefit. Prior musical experience is not required but is a plus!
