Cellobello nurtures and strengthens the individual cellist and a global cello community through free online instruction and advice from renowned cellists and teachers. We envision a world where all cellists and enthusiasts, regardless of location, race, socio-economic status, or ability level, will have access to the highest level of musical instruction, inspiration, and interaction.
Betzebeth lives in Venezuela but is hoping to attend a major music conservatory in the U.S. After receiving a scholarship to attend CelloBello's Audition Preparation Workshop that dream is becoming a reality. Betzebeth called this experience one of the best in her life, and it has given her the confidence and connection to esteemed cello professors throughout the country.
This program prepares high school and college students for their auditions with colleges, conservatories, and orchestras. One of CelloBello's goals is to 'level the playing field' for all cellists regardless of location, income level, or access to high-quality resources.
Participants receive opportunities for individual feedback on their audition pieces, either through private lessons, masterclasses or a combination of both. Participants attend all masterclasses and participate in all panel discussions with renowned conservatory and college cello professors. The workshop is held over a two-week period.
Participants then have access to archived footage of group classes and panel discussions for later viewing.
CelloKids connects young cellists with top teachers through online group classes. Digital learning is now central to education around the world and CelloBello is here to share quality supplemental musical instruction in both English and Spanish.
In each session, seasoned teachers lead educational, interactive, and fun programming in real-time through Zoom.
Even if a child is at home without a cello to play, or is too shy to play for others, or for teachers who are just curious to see a group class in action, CelloBello invites them to play along at home or observe the class.
Simply put, CelloBello would not exist were it not for several highly-skilled volunteers. We have a small but mighty team that enjoys working collaboratively, fully utilizing a diverse set of skills and experience. As we continually increase our capacity to deliver high-quality programs and accessibility to a vast array of resources, we encounter the need for additional skill sets.
