As a single mom, Sarah knew she had to find a way out. Every day she searched for employment. Homelessness continued to present her with yet another problem, Sarah had no permanent address to put on a job application.

In her search, Sarah came across Mile High WorkShop. At Mile High WorkShop, we understand when people are struggling through barriers. We know that people like Sarah need a safe space to start rebuilding their lives.

When Sarah came to the WorkShop she was full of doubt and anxiety. Every day, she worried about where her next meal might come from and how she was going to support her family. The sew shop was the answer. It gave Sarah the opportunity to learn a new skill and start on the brave journey of rebuilding her life.

Today Sarah is a full-time staff member. When asked about how the WorkShop has changed the course of her life Sarah said, “I can say, without a shred of doubt, that Mile High WorkShop saved me. It is, by far, the best job I have ever had. Other jobs don't have supports in place to help you navigate through mental health issues, help you find housing, or show you how to brush up your resume. Mile High WorkShop cares about the person first and that is what makes all the difference in the world.”
