The GVI Foundation was created to enable participants and individuals to amplify their impact on GVI’s meaningful social and environmental projects worldwide.
Do Good, Better with us as you further your contributions through fundraising and awareness campaigns for conservation and community projects.
GVI Fiji's Paddle for Progress
"GVI has worked alongside Silana Village since 2013 on several key focus areas, including marine conservation, education, community development, and health. On January 31st, 2024 GVI staff and participants ran a “Paddle for Progress” fundraiser. Three teams paddled 2.4km to represent the 24 tonnes of waste the Dawasamu district has recycled since waste management was implemented. GVI volunteers, staff, and Silana village built bamboo rafts (known as Bili Bili's in Fiji!) that were used in the race.
The goal was to continue improving and advancing all of our programs in the Dawasamu district. The funds we raised went towards things like better storage for education supplies, new mooring buoys for the marine conservation team, new literacy books for Navunisea District School (NDS), and implementation of more recycling and waste management points in other districts."
I am hoping to raise money for the next phase of the 'Sisterhood Sewing Project' run by GVI. The project involves teaching women how to use a manual sewing machine to make clothes, with the outlook of them being able to support their own communities and generate an income. The two phases include; another basic sewing course and the development of an advanced sewing course.
I am running a 10K in Cambridge, UK on 29th June 2025 to support the project and I would be grateful for any sponsorship, as without fundraising from volunteers, projects like this one would never happen. Please see below a breakdown of the expenses needed to support more Nepalese women in 2025 with their financial independence.
**Please note I am unable to amend the suggested amounts and am not expecting large donations, please only give what you can! Thank you**

We are fundraising to support the rebuilding of the observation tower in the Kekoldi Indigenous Reserve, an essential site for monitoring raptor migration in the Americas. This reserve is the second most important location in the region for tracking the movement of these magnificent birds, which are vital to understanding ecosystem health and biodiversity.
The observation tower has been an invaluable resource for researchers, conservationists, and Indigenous communities who rely on it for data collection and environmental stewardship.
However, the tower has fallen into disrepair, limiting the capacity to monitor migratory patterns and conduct important studies.
Rebuilding the tower will strengthen the collaboration between local Indigenous communities and conservation groups, helping to protect migratory birds and their habitats for future generations.
Any additional funds raised will go towards research equipment to further our conservation efforts.
Your support is truly appreciated!
