Foreknown Ministries

When people go through a miscarriage, the pain can be overwhelming and they don't know where to turn to for support. At Foreknown Ministries, we guide them to process grief to help them find encouragement, community, and ultimately the hope that Jesus has for their future.

In 2017 Alyson and Kelsi, who were coworkers and best friends, found themselves pregnant at the same time. Due within just two weeks of one another, they enjoyed walking through pregnancy milestones alongside one another and dreaming of the day they would both be holding their newborn babies

In January of 2018, just two days away from a scheduled induction, Alyson realized she wasn’t feeling her daughter, Cora move. After going to the hospital in search for answers, Alyson received the devastating news that Cora had passed away.

Two weeks later, just days before a scheduled C-section, Kelsi went in for her last appointment. As the tech struggled to find a heartbeat, Kelsi found herself receiving the same news, that her son Whitson had passed away.

As they leaned on one another and grieved the loss of their kids, both Alyson and Kelsi knew that there had to be more - that this couldn’t be the end of the story.

Through praying, grieving, and leaning on one another and their families, Alyson & Kelsi realized that the Lord had given them the same vision, separately. That vision was of them speaking to women and men about the hope we have after loss - that we won’t always be grieving, but that there can be joy again.

It was in 2018 that they began Foreknown Ministries by hosting weekend retreats and creating an online community for those who were walking a similar journey. They now host free digital support groups, a free texting community, retreats for women and couples, as well as courses, trainings, and coaching.

Women's Course

After you lose a child in miscarriage, stillbirth, or infant loss, help can be far away, your trusted community may not know how to support you, or you need to connect with those that have been in your shoes. Your Journey To Joy course for women takes the best of our weekend retreats and make it accessible to you 24/7.

Men's Course

Men have a different journey that they are on after losing a child. They are encouraged to help their partner after a loss while also facing their pain head-on. Our Through The Valley Course adds light to men after losing a child to stillbirth, miscarriage, or as an infant to help them understand their role and how to help their wives while processing their own pain, too.

Free Texting Community

Whether you're actively going through a loss or just needing some encouragement as you process your grief, you can text our number and someone will be on the other end to receive you and encourage you along this journey. Grief can be lonely, but we want to support you along the way by sending you messages of encouragement and support!

Women's Digital Support Group

Knowing that you are not alone in this journey after pregnancy loss is crucial. Find encouragement through other women who been where you are and found healing in Jesus Christ.

This free monthly digital support group is open to any woman who have lost a child in miscarriage, stillbirth or infant loss. Join us the third Sunday of each month.

"As One" Couple's Retreats

Women and men communicate differently, they look at life differently and approach pregnancy differently. When a miscarriage or stillbirth happens, we grieve differently, too. If we approach these issues with individuality and not togetherness, we aren’t unified and we can drift apart.

“As One” brings you and your spouse together so you can process, grow and strengthen your marriage. We equip you with tools to communicate, grieve and overcome life’s hard situations so that you can overcome anything together.

For You Are Known Women's Retreat

Our three-day retreat connects you with Jesus, the ultimate healer and compassionate Savior that has been by your side throughout your entire journey, and still is. When you come to the For You Are Known Retreat, you’ll be encouraged relationally, challenged spiritually, and walk away having talked about and processed through one of life’s most difficult and not discussed events- pregnancy or infant loss.

Volunteering with Foreknown

At Foreknown Ministries, we’re here to help people connect with Jesus so they don’t have to walk alone. It’s a calling that each of us has on our lives. With one in four pregnancies ending in a miscarriage (that are reported), we know that we can’t reach all these people by ourselves. We believe that it is a beautiful space when you can sit in the pain with someone else and say, “I understand what you’re going through and I’m sorry”.

Maybe God’s calling you to jump in and encourage others!

Check out the different ways you can get involved below. When you’re ready, please fill out the application and we will be in touch!

*Pregnancy and Infant Loss is not a pre-requisite to volunteering with Foreknown.
