Dedicated to Supporting

Coffee Growing Communities

In Remote Regions of the World

What started as a coffee camp at Burning Man, where the 10 Principles of Burning Man inspired Patrick Noder, was awarded a Civic Ignition Grant from Burners without Borders. His coffee camp, Roasted Breauxs & Coffee Heauxs, continues its coffee service in partnership with Placer County, CA, and the local homeless community, where they provide a gifted coffee service. They do the giving instead of receiving as if they were in Black Rock City during Burning Man.

Connected By Our Humanity supports coffee farming communities in Uganda, Costa Rica & El Salvador. Since 2022, Connected by Our Humanity has been supporting Friends Against the War (FAW) Ukraine.

The Lambano Project

Budduda community is located along with the Mountain ranges of Mt.Elgon, a sub-region in Eastern Uganda. It is blessed with fertile volcanic soils and altitudes that favor the growth of Arabica coffee.

Arabica coffee has been the main Cash crop of the Budduda community and it is ranked the third-best type of coffee in the whole world. For the past few years, the Budduda community has been characterized by low household incomes due to the deteriorating produce of the coffee beans. This is mainly attributed to the loss of morale to grow coffee due to the fluctuating prices and low returns, insufficient technical knowledge of growing coffee, hence the intervention of the LAMBANO COFFEE PROJECT.

This Project is majorly looking into creating awareness through the different demonstration farms as indicated in the footage. Through these farms, we shall be able to reach the farmers with sufficient equipment, organic pesticides & organic manure. Secondly, The LAMBANO COFFEE PROJECT intends to station coffee pulping machines in different sub-regions of Budduda district which will aid the farmers to easily process the harvested coffee berries so as to add value to the coffee and increase the returns of the farmers, consequently stabilizing the price fluctuations that have affected the community.

Costa Rican Coffee Farmer Relief - Down To Earth Coffee

This year Down To Earth is celebrating its 20th anniversary!

The last 20 years have been the most marvelous adventure. We have earned, lost, and learned.

We learned so much.

We learned that it’s more than just producing coffee. It is respecting and loving the environment, and the earth where the products grow. It is honoring the process, and the hands that harvest the fruit.

We lost so much.

We lost my dad, Matias Zeledon, the purest heart and soul- who’s purpose in life was to spread the gospel of good coffee, as he loved to say. His love for coffee was almost as big as his love for people, including his wife and daughters.

But most importantly, we earned so much.

We earned a community. We earned an extended family of hundreds, if not thousands, of amazing people from different countries, religions and cultures that have one thing in common: their love for humanity and coffee.

Thank you for being a part of the most amazing journey that was not only the end of my dad’s life, but the beginning of my journey in this incredible business.
