For many immigrants and South Asians in the Seattle area, life can look successful on the outside—but feel isolating underneath.
There are limited spaces that feel culturally familiar, and most social interaction today happens through screens rather than shared experiences.
At the same time, artists often lack intimate, community-driven platforms to perform and connect.
The result is a growing gap—not just in cultural expression, but in belonging.
Mehfil Nights started from a simple but deeply felt gap.
After moving to Seattle, our founder, Vansh Monga, found that while there were plenty of professional opportunities, something was missing—spaces that felt culturally familiar, intimate, and human.
Most social interactions happened in large, transactional settings or online. There were very few places where people could truly connect—through shared culture, music, and presence.
So he decided to create one.
What began as a small gathering has grown into a thriving community where people come not just to listen to music, but to feel at home.
Today, Mehfil Nights brings together artists and audiences in a way that feels personal, grounded, and real—something many people didn’t realize they were missing until they experienced it.

Some come with friends, some with family—and others arrive alone, but leave feeling part of a community.

Mehfil Artist Residency
Most of the artists we work with are early in their performance journey.
Through our residency-style preparation, we invest significant time in helping them refine their craft, build confidence, and deliver meaningful live performances.
This hands-on support transforms emerging artists into compelling performers while ensuring a high-quality experience for our audience.
