THE WOMEN'S COUNCIL PROMOTES AND SUPPORTS THE DALLAS ARBORETUM AND BOTANICAL GARDEN. IT HAS FUNDED AND MAINTAINS THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION, AND ENDOWMENT OF A MAJOR GARDEN, A WOMAN'S GARDEN, AT THE DALLAS ARBORETUM.

WOMEN FOR A HEALTHY ENVIRONMENT USES A SCIENTIFIC APPROACH TO ACHIEVE EQUITABLE LIVES FREE OF ENVIRONMENTAL HAZARDS THROUGH ADVOCACY AND COMMUNITY-BASED PROGRAMS.

THE YWCA OF HANOVER IS DEDICATED TO ELIMINATING RACISM, EMPOWERING WOMEN AND PROMOTING PEACE, JUSTICE, FREEDOM AND DIGNITY FOR ALL.

AMPLIFY WOMEN'S VOICES TO ELIMINATE THE TOXIC CHEMICALS THAT HARM OUR HEALTH AND COMMUNITIES.

WE ARE A NETWORK OF WOMEN, AND MEN, WHO APPROACH ENERGY ISSUES FROM A WOMAN'S POINT OF VIEW. WOMEN HAVE USED THEIR OWN ENERGY THROUGH THE AGES TO WORK FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD AND WEM CELEBRATES THAT COMMITMENT. WEM IS WORKING FOR A RAPID TRANSITION TO AN EFFICIENT, RENEWABLE ENERGY SYSTEM, IN ORDER TO PROMOTE HEALTHY COMMUNITIES AND ECOSYSTEMS AND IMPROVE INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS.

Tennessee Women in Green falls under the Alliances & Advocacy category: Organizations whose activities focus on influencing public policy within the Environment major group area. Includes a variety of activities from public education and influencing public opinion to lobbying national and state legislatures.

Women in Solar falls under the Professional Societies & Associations category: Learned societies, professional councils, and other organizations that bring together individuals or organizations with a common professional or vocational interest within the Environment major group area.

Outdoor Women Unlimited falls under the Environmental Education category: Organizations such as nature centers that provide informal classes which acquaint participants with particular aspects of their environment and increase their understanding of and appreciation for ecological balance.

THE WOMEN'S ENVIRONMENTAL INSTITUTE (WEI) IS A PLACE FOR WOMEN AND ALLIES TO RENEW, LEARN AND ORGANIZE FOR ENVIRONMENTAL JUSTICE. WEI AT AMADOR HILL IS AN ENVIRONMENTAL RESEARCH, RENEWAL AND RETREAT CENTER DESIGNED TO DEVELOP AND PROVIDE EDUCATION AND TRAINING ON FARMING FOOD AND ENVIRONMENTAL ISSUES AND POLICIES RELEVANT TO WOMEN, CHILDREN AND IDENTIFIED COMMUNITIES ESPECIALLY IMPACTED BY ECONOMIC, RACIAL AND GENDER DISPARITIES-BOTH URBAN AND RURAL.

Womens Forest Sanctuary falls under the Land Resources Conservation category: Organizations that preserve and protect endangered land resources from indiscriminate development, destruction or decay and which manage the utilization of renewable and nonrenewable resources to ensure ongoing availability. Included are conservation of the nations forests, rangeland, vegetation, deserts, wild and scenic rivers and other wilderness areas and open land spaces; and reestablishment of areas that have been devastated by destructive activities such as strip mining or other destructive activities.
