WHO WE ARE KCCG is a non-profit membership organization that helps people grow vegetables and fruit from garden plots and orchards located in backyards, schoolyards, vacant lots and community sites. WHAT WE OFFER KCCG offers low-cost seed and plant varieties chosen to thrive in the Kansas City climate along with garden resources, free educational workshops and technical assistance… all to help your garden and orchard thrive! Our programs are here to make it affordable and accessible to anyone – from individual gardeners to schools and community groups – who is ready to roll up their sleeves and dig in!

The Gardens at Heather Farm enriches the community through the beauty and environmental stewardship of our gardens, provides educational programs for adults and children, and offer venues for social and cultural events.

ELIZABETH F. GAMBLE GARDEN IS DEDICATED TO PRESERVING A 1902 EDWARDIAN ESTATE AS AN OASIS OF BEAUTY AND TRANQUILITY, PROVIDING A COMMUNITY RESOURCE FOR HORTICULTURAL EDUCATION, ENJOYMENT AND INSPIRATION FOR PEOPLE OF ALL AGES.

COMMUNITY GARDENING, LAND CONSERVATION AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION ARE THE PRIMARY ACTIVITIES. THE COMMUNITY GARDENING PROGRAM ASSISTS IN DEVELOPMENT AND MAINTENANCE OF GARDENS WITH MATERIALS AND NEIGHBORHOOD OUTREACH. THE LAND PROGRAM ACQUIRES AND PRESERVES OPEN SPACE.

WE ARE A REGIONALLY RECOGNIZED NONPROFIT MODEL THAT HAS BEEN TEACHING PEOPLE HOW TO GROW FOOD AND CARE FOR THE ENVIRONMENT SINCE 1942. FOUNDED DURING THE VICTORY GARDENS MOVEMENT AND SITUATED ON THE FORMER ESTATE OF PHILANTHROPIST CORNELIUS J. HAUCK, WE ARE CINCINNATIS GO-TO RESOURCE FOR ALL THINGS GARDENING AND CONSERVATION.
