COOPERATIONWORKS! IS A NATIONAL NETWORK MADE UP OF ORGANIZATIONAL AND INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS WORKING IN COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT. OUR MEMBERS PROVIDE EVERYTHING FROM BOARD TRAININGS TO BUSINESS PLANNING FOR NEW AND GROWING CO-OPS. COOPERATIONWORKS! FACILITATES THIS NETWORK TO ENABLE MEMBERS TO SHARE SKILLS, TOOLS, AND RESOURCES FOR MORE EFFICIENT AND EFFECTIVE COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT. COOPERATIONWORKS! ALSO PROVIDES TRAININGS TO INCREASE COOPERATIVE DEVELOPMENT CAPACITY BOTH THROUGH SEMI-ANNUAL MEMBER MEETINGS AND AN INTENSIVE THREE-PART PROGRAM OPEN TO NEW AND EXPERIENCED COOPERATIVE DEVELOPERS.

THE PURPOSE OF THIS ORGANIZATION IS TO PROVIDE HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINING AND EDUCATION TO ITS MEMBERS AND THE GENERAL PUBLIC AND IMPROVE EMPLOYER-EMPLOYEE RELATIONS AND WORK PLACE ENVIRONMENT. TRAINING AND SEMINARS ARE PROVIDED THROUGHOUT THE YEAR BY THE ORGANIZATION.

Pearl Transit Corp. works to end homelessness and help all people to achieve self-sufficiency by providing street outreach for unsheltered homeless persons and fare free community transportation for low income people people with disabilities and people at risk of or experiencing homelessness. Pearl Transit also focuses on ending hunger for low income families by providing free non-perishable food delivery.

Our mission is twofold: 1 Help small businesses - especially minority and woman owned - develop to better be able to do work in transportation and construction and 2 Help girls discover sustainable careers in transportation and construction. Minority and women owned businesses traditionally get less than 12 of the work on public construction and transportation projects. Women are only 8 of the construction workforce. With high paying and sustainable jobs in construction, this career can have a huge impact on a woman's economic equity over her lifetime.
