FAIRVIEW GARDENS BUILDS CRITICAL CONNECTIONS BETWEEN COMMUNITY, AGRICULTURE AND EDUCATION BY: INNOVATING AND PRODUCING SAFE, ORGANIC, LOCALLY-GROWN FOODS IN A SUSTAINABLE MANNER; SERVING AS A COMMUNITY-BASED EDUCATIONAL RESOURCE; ADVOCATING FOR APPROPRIATELY SCALED, HEALTHY FOOD SYSTEMS; AND PROVIDING ENGAGING HANDS-ON EXPERIENCE WITH FARMING.ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES: THE EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT FAIRVIEW GARDENS ENCOURAGE CURIOSITY, CULTIVATE STEWARDSHIP, BUILD COMMUNITY, AND DEEPEN CONNECTIONS TO THE FARM AND NATURAL WORLD. OUR NATURE-BASED CURRICULUM SERVES CHILDREN FROM THE INFANT YEARS THROUGH HIGH SCHOOL IN OUR AFTERSCHOOL, HOMESCHOOL, TODDLERS PROGRAMS, SUMMER CAMPS AND SCHOOL TOURS. PARTICIPANTS LEARN ABOUT THE SOURCE OF THEIR FOOD, THE BENEFITS OF EATING LOCAL PRODUCE, AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACTS OF AGRICULTURE. THIS VALUABLE LEARNING IS PAIRED WITH ENGAGING, INTERACTIVE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES THAT INCLUDE SOCIAL ENGAGEMENT,CRAFTS, SONGS, AND EXPLORATION.
