SAFETY & JUSTICE OREGON (SJO) ADVANCES POLICYMAKING THAT ENSURES A MORE EFFECTIVE AND EQUITABLE CRIMINAL JUSTICE AND PUBLIC SAFETY SYSTEM FOR PEOPLE CONVICTED OF CRIME, SURVIVORS OF CRIME, AND THE FAMILIES OF BOTH.

The Walk San Francisco Foundation believes San Francisco should be the most pedestrian-friendly city in the country. Yet, every 15 hours on average in San Francisco, someone is taken to the hospital after being injured in a traffic crash. Walk SF works to improve San Franciscos street safety through policy advocacy, community organizing, and educating residents, city agencies, and elected officials on the need for more pedestrian-friendly streets.

ANTHROPOCENE ALLAINCE PROVIDES TIMELY EDUCATION, INFORMATION, AND PLATFORMS WITH WHICH TO EASE COMMUNICATION BETWEEN AFFECTED COMMUNITIES, ELECTED OFFICIALS, GOVERNMENT AGENCIES, AND BUSINESSES. THE ORGANIZATION BUILDS PUBLIC SUPPORT FOR ACTION AGAINST ENVIRONMENTAL DESTRUCTION AND CLIMATE CHANGE BY: DIRECTLY ENGAGING THOSE MOST VULNERABLE TO ITS IMPACTS; ESTABLISHING PARTNERSHIPS WITH OTHER LIKE-MINDED ORGANIZATIONS; CREATING NETWORKS AND PLATFORMS TO FACILITATE COLLABORATION; ENCOURAGING CRITICAL DISCUSSION OF THE POLITICAL ECONOMY OF CLIMATE CHANGE; SUPPORTING POLICIES THAT PROTECT THE ENVIRONMENT AND REDUCE GREENHOUSE GASES.
