"We are for Australian sport. We know that sport has the power to transform communities. It improves the mental, physical, educational and economic health of the nation. It fosters community spirit and brings people together.
Although Australia has a proud sporting culture, the reality is sport participation is decreasing. This is particularly true among young people. If the decline continues, the country could face $88 billion in extra health costs over the next decade.
We are committed to reversing this trend by changing the conversation around sport's contribution to our country. Our goal is to raise awareness of how vital sport is to our country and gets the funding it deserves."
