The Organizations mission is to promote womens welfare, their fellowship and cooperation and their education, industrial and economic advancement.

OUR MISSION IS TO PROVIDE USED AND OTHER DONATED ITEMS TO BE SOLD TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC AT A LOW AND REASONABLE PRICE.

OUR MISSION IS TO AID THOSE WHO ARE LESS FORTUNATE. WE ARE DEDICATED TO CREATING TOOLS AND SERVICES TO HELP THE LESS FORTUNATE GET BACK ON THEIR FEET AND START MORE PRODUCTIVE JOYFUL LIVES. MEMBERS OF THE SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL (OR "VINCENTIANS") ARE MEN AND WOMEN WHO STRIVE TO GROW SPIRITUALLY BY OFFERING PERSON-TO-PERSON SERVICE TO INDIVIDUALS IN NEED. WE ARE YOUNG AND OLD. OUR MEMBERS COME IN EVERY SHADE OF SKIN COLOR. SOME OF US ARE WEALTHY, SOME A FINANCIALLY POOR, BUT ALL OF US ARE BLESSED WITH OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS IN NEED. WE ARE PART OF AN INTERNATIONAL SOCIETY OF FRIENDS UNITED BY A SPIRIT OF POVERTY, HUMILITY, AND SHARING, WHICH IS NOURISHED BY MUTUALLY SUPPORTIVE GATHERINGS, AND ADHERENCE TO A BASIC RULE. THE SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL OFFERS TANGIBLE ASSISTANCE TO THOSE IN NEED ON A PERSON-TO-PERSON BASIS. IT IS THIS PERSONALIZED INVOLVEMENT THAT MAKES THE WORK OF THE SOCIETY UNIQUE. THIS AID MAY TAKE THE FORM OF INTERVENTION, CONSULTATION, OR OFTEN THROUGH

THE SOCIETY OF ST. VINCENT DE PAUL, DISTRICT COUNCIL OF PENSACOLA - TALLAHASSEE, IS PART OF A WORLDWIDE ORGANIZATION OF LAY CATHOLIC MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE COMMITTED TO LIVE AND GROW IN THEIR CHRISTIAN FAITH THROUGH PRAYER AND PERSONAL INVOLVEMENT IN CHARITABLE WORKS. THE SOCIETY'S MISSION IS ACCOMPLISHED THROUGH PARISH AND COMMUNITY-BASED GROUPS CALLED CONFERENCES (VOLUNTEERS) AND PROGRAMS CALLED SPECIAL WORKS. THE SOCIETY'S WORK INCLUDES ANY ACTIONS THAT PROMOTE THE DIGNITY OF THE PERSON, ALLEVIATE SUFFERING AND DISTRESS, WHILE CORRECTING THE CONDITIONS THAT CAUSE THEM.

Our mission is to provide sustainable funding for organizations who provide aftercare for women and children who have experienced commercial sexual exploitation. In addition, we offer internship opportunities for survivors of this exploitation. 100% of the profits from our resale shop go to several organizations who offer aftercare.

GUILFORD ABC IS A LIFE-CHANGING PROGRAM THAT OFFERS ACADEMICALLY GIFTED GIRLS OF COLOR THE OPPORTUNITY TO ATTEND GUILFORD HIGH SCHOOL, LIVE IN A CARING COMMUNITY SURROUNDED BY A STRONG PROFESSIONAL SUPPORT TEAM, AND REALIZE THEIR INDIVIDUAL POTENTIAL. THESE YOUNG WOMEN, CHOSEN FROM MANY APPLICANTS TO THE NATIONAL ABC PROGRAM, COME FROM UNDER-REPRESENTED COMMUNITIES WHERE THEY LACK ACCESS TO QUALITY EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES. OUR PROGRAM'S PRIMARY MISSION IS TO PROVIDE THESE SCHOLARS WITH A BETTER CHANCE TO EXCEL IN HIGH SCHOOL, ATTEND A QUALITY COLLEGE OR UNIVERSITY, AND LEAD A FULFILLING PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL LIFE.GUILFORD ABC, WHICH OPENED ITS DOORS IN 1974, WAS ONE OF THE VERY FIRST COMMUNITY-BASED ABC PROGRAMS IN THE NATION. SINCE ITS INCEPTION, GUILFORD ABC HAS SENT MORE THAN 55 YOUNG WOMEN ON TO COLLEGES AND UNIVERSITIES IN THE COUNTRY, MANY OF THEM ON FULL ACADEMIC SCHOLARSHIPS. GIVEN THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS, MANY OF THESE GUILFORD ABC GRADUATES HAVE BECOME REAL-LIFE ROLE MODELS.

THROUGH THE OPERATION OF A UP SCALE THRIFT SHOP, THE HOPE CHEST PROVIDES FUNDING TO THE CONSTANCE MORRIS HOUSE (CMH), A DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTER AND BRANCH OF PILLARS COMMUNITY HEALTH. THE THRIFT SHOP ALSO USES ITS PROFITS TO PURCHASE CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS FOR CMH AS NEEDED AND PAYS CERTAIN UTILITY BILLS FOR CMH. CMH IS AN EMERGENCY RESIDENTIAL SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN FLEEING FROM FAMILY VIOLENCE. THE SHELTER CAN ACCOMMODATE 25 WOMEN AND CHILDREN AT ANY GIVEN TIME.

TO PROVIDE SUPPORT TO WOMEN LEAVING DOMESTIC VIOLENCE SHELTERS. A THRIFT STORE HAS BEEN STARTED TO FURNISH CLOTHING AND HOUSEHOLD ITEMS FREE OF CHARGE TO THESE WOMEN AND THEIR CHILDREN. PROCEEDS FROM THE THRIFT STORE ARE USED TO EXPAND THE PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT OF SUCH FAMILIES.

THE FUND'S MISSION IS TO TURN GENTLY WORN, LUXURY PRODUCTS SITTING IN WOMEN'S CLOSETS AROUND THE GLOBE, INTO FUNDING FOR OTHER PUBLIC CHARITIES. UNION & FIFTH WAS FOUNDED BY PAMELA TREFLER (PRESIDENT AND DIRECTOR) AND CHRISTENA REINHARD (TREASURER AND DIRECTOR) AFTER THEY REALIZED THAT ENCOURAGING WOMEN TO DONATE THEIR DESIGNER CLOTHING AND ACCESSORIES THAT THEY NO LONGER USE COULD RAISE SIGNIFICANT FUNDS TO BENEFIT ESTABLISHED PUBLIC CHARITIES. UNION & FIFTH WILL RAISE FUNDS BY SOLICITING DONATIONS OF GENTLY USED DESIGNER GOODS, SUCH AS CLOTHES, SHOES, HANDBAGS AND JEWELRY.
