Homeless Centers

Our mission is to provide homeless and nearly homeless individuals and families with individualized supportive services and tailored housing solutions with a goal of obtaining and maintaining affordable housing. The Somerville Homeless Coalition was created by the community’s grassroots response to the social crisis of homelessness in 1985. Today, SHC transforms lives by providing services, support, and housing to well over 7,500 men, women, and children.

"Founded in 1969, Pine Street Inn provides a comprehensive range of services to nearly 2,000 homeless men and women each day. We are the largest homeless services provider in New England, and could not do this important work without the support of our donors and local community. Since that time we have been providing a comprehensive range of programs and services, including housing, emergency services, and workforce development. THE FOUNDATION IS DEDICATED TO EMPOWERING AND EDUCATING PEOPLE WITH CANCER TO THRIVE IN THEIR WORKPLACE BY PROVIDING EXPERT ADVICE, INTERACTIVE TOOLS, AND EDUCATIONAL EVENTS.

UP PROVIDES DAY SHELTER, RESOURCES, EMOTIONAL SUPPORT AND COMMUNITY CONNECTIONS TO WOMEN,CHILDREN AND MARGINALIZED GENDERS EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS TO ADDRESS THE BARRIERS TO HOMELESSNESS

WOMENS MEDICAL RESPITE IS COMMITTED TO PROVIDING SERVICES TO ILL HOMELESS WOMEN WHO DO NOT MEET THE CRITERIA NECESSARY TO BE HOSPITALIZED. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE: A SAFE, CLEAN 24-HOUR ENVIRONMENT AT NO COST TO THE CLIENT NUTRITIOUS FOOD TRANSPORTATION TO MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS ASSISTANCE WITH MEDICATIONS COORDINATION OF HOME HEALTH SERVICES REFERRALS FOR HOUSING AND PRIMARY CARE.

Womens Locker Room Foundation Inc. falls under the Homeless Centers category: Organizations that provide supportive services for individuals and families who are homeless or which work with people who are at risk for homelessness in an effort to prevent them from losing their permanent residence.

PROVIDES EMERGENCY, TRANSITIONAL OR LONG-TERM SUPPORTIVE HOUSING FOR HOMELESS AND LOW INCOME INDIVIDUALS. PROVIDES FOOD, CLOTHING, MEDICAL CARE, HOUSING, EMPLOYMENT COUNSELING AND OTHER PROGRAMS TO ASSIST THE HOMELESS, ELDERLY, MENTALLY ILL, VETERANS, AND SINGLE WOMEN WITH AND WITHOUT CHILDREN.

The Rescue Mission Alliance's primary purpose is to establish and operate rescue missions to reach the less fortunate with the gospel of Jesus Christ and to assist in the feeding, clothing, and lodging of those who are destitute or homeless. With the support of our community, we offer: refuge - food, clothing, and shelter for those in need, recovery - biblically based programs to minister to the whole person: body, mind, and spirit, and restoration - equipping people to lead productive and independent lives. Our target population is poor and homeless men, women, and children of all ages, ethnicity, or religious beliefs, located in Ventura, Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, and San Bernardino counties. These activities are carried out through four unique rescue missions and two food banks. The organization operates six thrift stores dedicated to the rehabilitation of men and women in recovery.

THE WHOSOEVER GOSPEL MISSION IS A CHRISTIAN NONPROFIT ORGANIZATION WHOSE PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE SHELTER, FOOD, CLOTHING, EDUCATION, COUNSELING, REHABILITATION AND OTHER ASSISTANCE TO HOMELESS AND/OR NEEDY MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN IN THE PHILADELPHIA AREA.

THE MISSION OF THE CATHERINE MCAULEY CENTER IS TO DIRECTLY MINISTER TO WOMEN AND TO THE ECONOMICALLY POOR. THE CATHERINE MCAULEY CENTER COMMITS ITSELF TO MEETING THE HOUSING NEEDS OF WOMEN PROVIDING TEMPORARY SHELTER FOR WOMEN AND CHILDREN WHO ARE IN CRISIS WHICH LEAVES THEM HOMELESS OR WITHOUT SUBSTANTIAL RESOURCES; PROVIDING PROGRAMS AND SUPPORTIVE SERVICES THAT ASSIST WOMEN IN OBTAINING PERMANENT HOUSING WHICH IS SAFE, DECENT, AND AFFORDABLE; BY PROVIDING A SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR THE WOMEN AND A BRIDGE TO SELF RELIANCE; BY ASSESSING THOSE WHO NEED ASSISTANCE IN ACCESSING MEDICAL AND COMMUNITY RESOURCES.

MARY'S PLACE ENSURES THAT NO CHILD SLEEPS OUTSIDE BY CENTERING EQUITY AND OPPORTUNITY FOR WOMEN AND FAMILIES. WE PROVIDE SHELTER AND RESOURCES FOR FAMILIES FACING OR EXPERIENCING HOMELESSNESS.

WE ARE AN INTERFAITH MINISTRY TO THE HOMELESS, DISABLED AND ECONOMICALLY DISADVANTAGED CITIZENS OF SCHENECTADY COUNTY, BUILDING A JUST, HOSPITABLE AND INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY ONE PERSON AT A TIME BY AFFIRMING THE DIGNITY AND ADDRESSING THE NEEDS OF EACH GUEST ENTERING THIS HOUSE OF MERCY. PROGRAMS INCLUDE A HOSPITALITY CENTER, EMERGENCY/CRISIS ASSISTANCE, HOUSING CASE MANAGEMENT, REPRESENTATIVE PAYEE FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM, WOMEN'S SUPPORT GROUP,THE LIGHTHOUSE, AND LIBERTY APARTMENTS. ADDITIONAL PROGRAMS ARE SOCIAL WORK, MEDICAL CARE, PSYCHIATRIC NURSE PRACTITIONER, AND HEALTH HOME.

TO OFFER LIFE CHANGING HOPE THROUGH THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST TO HOMELESS MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN THROUGH PROGRAMS TO DELIVER FOOD, SHELTER, COUNSELING AND DISCIPLESHIP.

WELLSPRINGS PROVIDES A SAFE, NURTURING ENVIRONMENT FOR WOMEN WHO WERE HOMELESS OR ABUSED, HELPING THEM TO BECOME INDEPENDENT CONTRIBUTING MEMBERS OF OUR COMMUNITY.

THE SOPHIA WAY IS A PLACE OF HOPE AND CHANGE FOR WOMEN. WE SUPPORT THEM ON THEIR JOURNEY FROM HOMELESSNESS TO SAFE AND STABLE LIVING.

PROVIDE SURVIVAL BACKPACK AND ASSISTANCE TO THE UNSHELTERED HOMELESS MEN, WOMEN, AND CHILDREN IN KENOSHA COUNTY

Community oriented transitional house and neighborhood center which is multicultural, anti-racist and where the needs of women who are economically poor are central.

The Organizations exempt function is to provide temporary emergency shelter, transitional housing, and essential services to the homeless men, women, and children in the City of Brownsville, Texas; an immediate response to basic human needs and pathway to self-sufficiency.
