AMERICANS FOR PROSPERITY FOUNDATION EXISTS TO EDUCATE AMERICANS ON SOLUTIONS THAT EXPAND FREEDOM AND OPPORTUNITY, WITH A FOCUS ON ADDRESSING UNSUSTAINABLE GOVERNMENT SPENDING AND DEBT, REFORMING THE HEALTH CARE, IMMIGRATION, AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEMS, PROTECTING CIVIL LIBERTIES, AND BUILDING AN ECONOMY WHERE EVERYONE HAS AN OPPORTUNITY TO FIND SUCCESS.

The Mission of The Other 98% is simple but bold: To be a storytelling force that educates people and stirs them to fight for justice. We challenge the stranglehold that billionaires and corporations have on our government by creating our own educational tools and crafting our own narrative, one that sparks the sustained outrage and action we need to build a healthy democracy.

We are 501(c)3 public policy research and leadership development community working to advance freedom, equality, and a more perfect union where the America dream is for everyone. Our namesake Rep Joseph Rainey was born enslave and became the first African American to serve in the United States House of Representatives.
