INSTITUTE OF PUBLIC STRATEGIES (IPS) IS A NONPROFIT CORPORATION THAT RECEIVES ITS FUNDING FROM PRIVATE FOUNDATIONS AND FROM GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES. IPS MISSION IS TO WORK ALONGSIDE COMMUNITIES TO BUILD POWER, CHALLENGE SYSTEMS OF INEQUITY, PROTECT HEALTH AND IMPROVE QUALITY OF LIFE. ALL OF IPS' ACTIVITIES ARE RELATED TO ITS EDUCATIONAL PURPOSE. IPS SERVES AS AN EDUCATIONAL TRAINING, TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE, AND OPERATIONAL CENTER ON ISSUES OF PUBLIC HEALTH, PUBLIC SAFETY, EQUITY, AND SOCIAL JUSTICE. IPS ALSO PROVIDES CONSULTING SERVICES TO OTHER NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS AND GOVERNMENTAL AGENCIES. IPS WORKS ON LONG-TERM CONTRACTS TO PROVIDE POPULATION-LEVEL SERVICES WITHIN SPECIFIED COMMUNITIES. IPS HAS LED PROGRAMS THROUGHOUT THE NATION FOR ALMOST 30 YEARS, WITH CURRENT PROGRAMS PRIMARILY LOCATED WITHIN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA. NO MONIES ARE SPENT ON PUBLIC FUNDRAISING.
