OUR MISSION
To improve the lives of all cats and provide support and education for the people who care about them.
Halo came to MRFRS at just six months old, surrendered by a loving family who could no longer provide the care he needed. It quickly became clear that Halo was a very special kitten - he was born with incorrectly formed genitals. Because of this, he needed extra support to stay clean and comfortable. Without that care, however, he could be prone to chronic urinary tract infections.
While his condition made finding an adopter a bit more challenging, our veterinary team assured us that with proper hygiene and attention, Halo could live a happy, healthy life.
After a month of hopeful inquiries, Halo’s perfect match finally arrived! A wonderful family with experience caring for special-needs cats and a strong relationship with their veterinarian. They welcomed Halo with open arms and a commitment to providing the extra TLC he needs to thrive.
Thanks to them, Halo now has the loving home he deserves, and a future full of cuddles and happy days ahead!

We are thrilled to announce that to date we have raised over $45,000 to continue our work helping cats and kittens in our community. We are beyond grateful to our walkers, sponsors, and the countless supporters and volunteers who made this day possible!
Our feline friends can't speak for themselves - but we can. For over 30 years, MRFRS has been their voice when they needed us most and through our programs, we have improved the lives of over 146,000 cats and kittens! However, our work is far from done. Every day, countless cats face hunger, neglect, and even danger. They rely on compassionate people like you to stand up, speak out, and be their voice.
