Clean Grid Alliance

Programming Pro

We power the grid of the future in America’s Heartland through collaboration, expertise, and innovation. Founded in 2001, we’ve doubled in size since 2021 in response to increasing demand and need for our work. CGA’s four pillars are informed by our 80+ member organizations, including energy developers and businesses and environmental nonprofits. We work across nine states in the following areas:

• strong local and state advocacy to create favorable government policies,

• advanced technical expertise and a respected seat at the table at MISO, the Midwest electric grid operator,

• regulatory and legal work with utilities and in courts to defend and advance renewables and transmission, and

• education that elevates the voices of champions and encourages policy makers and others to embrace renewables in our rural communities.
