Poughkeepsie Farm Project

Fresh food is growing. Let’s make sure it reaches everyone who needs it!

At Poughkeepsie Farm Project, we grow over 150,000 pounds of vegetables each year and work to ensure that food is accessible to all. Through sliding scale pricing, workshare arrangements, SNAP discounts, and sponsored CSA shares, we remove cost as a barrier to fresh, local food.

Still the demand for fresh, healthy, affordable food is growing.

Last year, we donated 44,000+ pounds of produce to local families and community partners. We can't do it without corporate partners!

In addition to our banner Sponsored Share program, we also offer free field trips for low income school districts, in-class programming on food systems and healthy eating, and career development programs for teens in the community.

I'm Gina McCann, the Director of Development at Poughkeepsie Farm Project. After 20 years in Client Relations in the finance industry, I officially joined the team at Poughkeepsie Farm Project in March to support their development efforts. I started as a CSA member in 2022, joined the Board in 2024, and have been deeply committed ever since. I was particularly struck by how kind everyone was in light of the intense work and outcomes they were reaching. I love this little farm and you will too!
