St. Francis House

EstablishedHometown Hero

St. Francis House rebuilds lives by providing refuge and pathways to stability for adults experiencing homelessness and poverty every day.

After suffering a horrific accident and taking prescription painkillers, Rose found herself in a downward spiral. When her addiction sent her to jail and her children to foster care, something had to change. Rose enrolled in MAP, a job + life skills training program at St. Francis House and has since reconciled with her children and completed coursework at UMass Boston.

As many as 600 men and women will come to St. Francis House every day, in desperate need of food, clothing, shelter, counseling, medical care, employment services, and a second chance. We never turn anyone away. Ever.
