Career Wardrobe uses clothing to inspire change. From suits for work to everyday wear to affirm your identity, we are here to help.
Tameka didn’t imagine herself with a career in retail, but wanted a change from her past jobs in the mental health field. When she came to Career Wardrobe, she found not only something she was good at, but also cared about. She completed our 12-week Wardrobe Careers internship program to see if retail was right for her. It was, and now she's in charge of the program she used to be enrolled in.
Career Wardrobe's boutiques provide people with the every day clothing they need to support their transition to independence whether it's reentering the community after incarceration, living on their own for the first time, or escaping an abusive relationship. Once they are ready to return to work, we are there with the clothing they need to pursue training, conduct a job search, and accept that new job offer!
Work It professional development days prepare people for their job search with a new head shot for their online profile, a professional outfit, and sharpening their networking and interviewing skills. And every appointment at our Wardrobe is an educational experiencing, helping people with limited work experience better understand the unwritten rules of the workplace, including professional norms and behavior.
Each year, Career Wardrobe receives more than $2M worth of donated clothing from 5,000+ generous donors who clean out their closets to support us. Volunteers sort and process all these donations to make sure we only pass on the best items to our clients.
More than a fashion show or cocktail reception, Hope's Night Out is an evening of fashion, inspiration, and impact. Our annual Gala fundraising event includes a networking reception, silent auction, and fabulous program where our mission comes to live before your eyes.
