Tan, 17 years old, was born in a small village in N. Thailand. He followed his brothers who were both in Chiang Mai working in the red light district with other teenage boys from their village. Tan has been coming to Urban Light for 2 years, "it's my home. I’m much happier when I’m at UL I have friends, hot meals, education, medical attention & therapy." UL has served 6K Boys just like Tan.
