Hope Paws Support Fund

At Hope Paws Support Fund, we help dog owners cover unexpected medical bills, provide rescue organizations with the funding to save and transport dogs in need, and connect dogs with loving homes through a trusted network. Together, we ensure every dog gets a second chance at a healthy, happy life.

Hope Paws Support Fund is built on compassion, transparency, and action. Every effort is guided by the belief that no dog should suffer, and no family should face heartbreak alone simply because help wasn’t available. Together, we can ensure that financial hardship is never a death sentence for a dog and never the reason a family is torn apart.

This is more than a nonprofit—it is a promise. A promise to stand beside dogs, families, and rescues when hope is needed most.

My name is Natalia. For years, I have been in the trenches of dog rescue – administering a Facebook group with thousands of members, connecting dogs with rescues, sharing urgent cases, and personally pledging funds to save dogs on euthanasia lists.

I saw how pledges don't just help – they directly decide who gets saved.

Then everything changed.

My own dog, Ariel, needed emergency veterinary care. Suddenly, I was no longer the rescuer. I was the pet owner sitting in a cold waiting room, holding my dog's leash, and waiting for a vet to tell me how much it would cost to save her life.

The number was thousands of dollars. I did not have that kind of savings.

I remember thinking: "How am I going to pay for this? What if I cannot? What happens to Ariel?"

I was lucky. I scraped together the money. But that fear never left me.

That experience revealed a painful truth: countless loving pet owners face this same crisis every single day. They are forced to choose between their dog's life and their financial survival.

At the same time, through my rescue work, I saw dogs with rescue interest but no funding. A $500 pull fee meant the difference between a dog being pulled to safety or being left behind to die.

I realized a formal safety net was missing – one that steps in when families and rescues are doing everything they can but still need support.

So I decided to build it.

In February 2026, I officially established Hope Paws Support Fund – a 100% volunteer-led, 501(c)(3) nonprofit created to be the safety net I wish had existed for me.

Our mission is simple: provide direct financial assistance to low-income dog owners facing emergency vet bills, fund rescue pulls from high-risk shelters, support safe transport, and connect dogs with loving homes.

We are not just another charity. We are a direct-action fund born from experience on all sides of the crisis – as an advocate, a rescuer, and a pet owner in need.

Ariel is healthy and happy today. Her photo is on our website. She is the reason this nonprofit exists.

And every dog we help is her legacy.

Programs

Emergency Veterinary Care Fund

We provide direct financial assistance paid straight to veterinary clinics. This ensures that families never have to choose between their dog and their financial stability. When a dog needs urgent surgery or critical care, we step in so the family can focus on healing, not bills

Rescue & Pull Support

We provide funds to rescues so they can pull dogs from high-risk shelters — and transfer them to verified rescue partners. Every dog deserves a safe exit from a dangerous situation. With an average pull fee of $500 per dog, your support directly unlocks the kennel door.

Dog Transportation Network

We support safe travel to move dogs from overcrowded shelters to foster and adoptive homes. Distance should never block a second chance. Whether it’s a volunteer driver or a commercial transport, we make sure every dog reaches safety — no matter how far.

Dog Network & Adoption Suppo

We connect dogs with adopters through outreach and professional content. A loving home is the ultimate goal. From high-quality videos to social media campaigns, we help each dog find the family they deserve.

Volunteering + Events

Become a Volunteer

Dog rescue volunteer opportunities at Hope Paws Support Fund allow you to make a meaningful difference for dogs in urgent need. Every day, dogs are abandoned, injured, or at risk of euthanasia, and our volunteers are the reason we can act quickly, secure emergency medical care, and place dogs in loving homes.

You don’t need any special experience — just compassion and a few hours a week. Our volunteers contribute in multiple ways, from helping secure grants and fundraising for emergency vet care to spreading awareness on social media and connecting dogs with fosters and adopters.
