Kosair for Kids strives to help children realize their potential while overcoming their obstacles based on trust, honesty and integrity, collaboration, prudent financial stewardship, and inclusion.
Her beautiful chestnut brown locks are growing back now, a sign that the most terrifying months of her young life may finally be behind her. Kosair Kid Luciana had a lot to smile about at the first-ever Kosair Kids Princess Tea in July. Dressed as her favorite Disney princess, Ariel, all seemed to be going swimmingly, a stark contrast from the leukemia diagnosis doctors delivered when she was 3 years old.
“We felt devastated and felt that we were living our worst nightmare,” said Luciana’s mom, Karla.
Through the Kosair Kids Financial Assistance Program, funded by your generosity, Luciana received the best medical treatment possible without additional burdens on her family. It brought them peace and relief during an uncertain time.
“If it weren’t for Kosair for Kids, we would not have been able to cover the cost of Luciana’s treatment,” Luciana’s dad, Adan explained.

Kosair Kids Financial Assistance
Covers the cost of medical care, therapy, and equipment for children when their families cannot afford it.
154 children received financial assistance for medical help they would have otherwise missed out on in 2024.
Kosair Kids Experience
Provides unique event experiences for children of all abilities to safely participate at their own pace and comfort level.
Over 3,500 children and family members attended a one-of-a-kind experience in 2024 at no cost to them.
Kosair Kids Grants
Funds organizations that serve thousands of children in the helathcare, research, education, social services, and child advocacy spaces.
112 organizations serving children received grant funding in 2024.
Kosair Kids Advocacy
Supports nonprofits that specialize in child abuse prevention and intervention, advocate for change in the child welfare system, and expand education for childcare providers.
163 organizations area partners of the Kosair Kids' Face It Movement to end child abuse in Kentucky.
