Magen David Adom (MDA) in Israel is a non-governmental, non-profit organization, founded in 1930 and bound by Israeli law in 1950. MDA's multifaceted mission entails serving as Israel's national pre-hospital emergency medical service, designated blood banking and processing agency, and provider of disaster relief and humanitarian aid domestically and internationally. MDA is an official affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies. American Friends of Magen David Adom raises funds to support this vital work.

UNDER THAT OPERATING AGREEMENT, CUMG PAYS OPERATING EXPENSES AND COMPENSATES FACULTY PHYSICIANS AND HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONERS (THE PROFESSIONAL MEMBERS) AS DIRECTED BY UWSOM.
