SINCE ITS INCEPTION IN 1999, THE CHILDREN'S ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH INSTITUTE (CEHI) MISSION REMAINS TO ESTABLISH NETWORKS AND WAYS OF DISTRIBUTING INFORMATION TO PROTECT CHILDREN FROM ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH RISKS. OUR UNIQUE ROLE INCLUDES A FOCUS ON THE MICROENVIRONMENT OF THE CHILD FROM CONCEPTION FORWARD. CEHI PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL VENUES ON CHILDREN'S UNIQUE VULNERABILITY TO ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS THAT INCREASE THEIR RISK FOR CHILDHOOD DISEASES SUCH AS ASTHMA, CANCER, AUTISM, BEHAVIORAL AND NEURODEVELOPMENTAL DISORDERS. OUR EDUCATIONAL ENDEAVORS HALLMARK IS THE INTEGRATION OF CURRENT EVIDENCE-BASED RESEARCH ON HOW ENVIRONMENTAL TOXINS IMPACT ALL PHASES OF CHILDHOOD DEVELOPMENT, METABOLISM, AND BEHAVIOR. OUR PRIMARY TARGET AUDIENCE INCLUDES PROFESSIONAL ORGANIZATIONS AND INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATIONS WITH PROVIDING SERVICES TO CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. RECENT MEASURES HAVE EMPHASIZED THAT CHILDREN ARE ESPECIALLY VULNERABLE TO ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH RISKS DURING PHASES OF ACCELERATED DEVELOPME
