The Sun Valley Youth Center is a non-profit after school and summer program for kids ages five to sixteen in Denver’s Sun Valley neighborhood. We use a trauma informed, attachment based model of caregiving to set our youth and families up for success.
Bery started coming to The Sun Valley Youth Center in 2012. In fall 2024, he will be entering his freshman year at The University of New Mexico.
"The Sun Valley Youth Center has empowered and helped me find success by helping me understand how to overcome obstacles and disadvantages in all the things I decide to pursue. Thanks to the opportunities I’ve experienced I’ve been able to step out of my comfort zone and become someone who I would’ve never expected to be when I was younger.
My favorite thing about The Sun Valley Youth Center is the people and the acceptance. I’ve been able to keep strong relationships with some of the greatest people in my life by the connection of The Sun Valley Youth Center."
