At the Second Chance Center (SCC), we assist individuals in Colorado who were formerly incarcerated and justice-involved with a range of wrap-around services including care management, supportive housing, mental health counseling and career coaching. Specifically through the SCC’s Employment Opportunity Lab, we offer employment readiness classes, run pre-apprenticeship and other training programs and connect the client-partners we serve with fair chance employers ready to hire them.
Delivered with our community partners The Park People, this is an eight-week paid training program that combines classroom learnings as well as hands on field work and trainings with local employers leading directly into career opportunities in the urban forestry industry.
Delivered with our community partner GRID Alternatives, this paid training program teaches our client-partners all the basic skills of solar panel installation and prepares them for careers in the solar industry.
