Stricker Sunshine Rescue Ranch is dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, retraining and rehoming horses and livestock from abuse, neglect and or owner surrenders with an application and under contract. Our goal is to assist animals in need to physically, emotionally and spiritually heal and to know love and trust. We want to be a positive part of their journey so they can live a full life in their approved new forever homes through adoption.
Stricker Sunshine Rescue Ranch, Inc. was established in April of 2023. Alan & Tammy Stricker have been personally rescuing horses and donkeys since 2014. When Alan Stricker is not at work as a Lineman at Duke Energy, he is rescuing equines! We are now a 501c3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain and rehome horses and donkeys in need. Horses and donkeys come to SSRR from many situations including but not limited to owner surrenders, sheriff seizures, auctions, and kill pens. Our goal is to heal each rescue physically, emotionally and spiritually. It is amazing what love, proper medical care, farrier care, and proper nutrition can do. One life at a time!

We appreciate our volunteers. By volunteering here at SSRR, you are not only taking an active role in our rescue but also helping take a critical stand against the abuse and neglect of our horses/donkeys. We want to open our rescue up to other like minded individuals that would like to share in healing each and every equine.

Here at SSRR, we are committed to long-term growth that allows us to rescue more horses without compromising care or compassion. With your support, we envision expanded land for rescue and rehabilitation, a proper groom/bathing area, and more stalls. Also, the development of a veterans program that fosters healing for both horses and heroes.
