City Youth Now

Established

Our Mission

To provide programs and services that promote stability, personal growth and long term success for youth in San Fransisco.

For 74 years, City Youth Now has diligently partnered with the San Francisco Juvenile Court System to address the unique needs of the youth under its jurisdiction, in particular, those with experience in the foster care and juvenile justice systems. Originally founded as The Volunteer Auxiliary of the Youth Guidance Center in 1950, CYN is the first non-profit organization of its kind in the history of the United States’ Juvenile Court System. Programs and services extend beyond Juvenile Hall to serve youth in group homes, in extended foster care for 18-22- year-old youth and in kinship care (care of foster youth by relatives), as well as in the community.
