Management & Technical Assistance

The Council is authorized to prepare, monitor and revise fishery management plans and data collection programs for domestic and foreign fishing within the 200-mile U.S. Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ). This is done with approval and implementation by the Secretary of Commerce.

ASPCA VETERINARY SERVICES OF NORTH CAROLINA, P.C. IS A PROFESSIONAL CORPORATION THAT PROVIDES THE VETERINARY SERVICES OF QUALIFIED, LICENSED VETERINARIANS EXCLUSIVELY TO THE ASPCA IN NORTH CAROLINA. THESE SERVICES INCLUDE THE VETERINARY SERVICES NEEDED TO PROVIDE HIGH-VOLUME, HIGH-QUALITY COMPANION ANIMAL STERILIZATION TO ALLEVIATE SHELTER PET OVERPOPULATION. THIS CORPORATION WAS FORMED PURSUANT TO THE NORTH CAROLINA VETERINARY PRACTICE ACT, WHICH FORBIDS THE OWNERSHIP OF ANY VETERINARY PRACTICE IN NORTH CAROLINA BY CORPORATIONS, OTHER THAN DULY-REGISTERED PROFESSIONAL CORPORATIONS. ASPCA PROVIDES MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO ASPCA VETERINARY SERVICES OF NORTH CAROLINA, P.C. PER A MANAGEMENT SERVICES AGREEMENT.

CHARTERED AS AN EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION BY NEW YORK STATE IN 1957, THE SOCIETY PROVIDES EDUCATION AND PROGRAMMING & CONSERVATION, FUNDRAISING, SPECIAL EVENTS, PUBLIC RELATIONS AND MARKETING, AND MEMBERSHIP TO MONROE COUNTY'S SENECA PARK ZOO. WE ALSO AID IN THE DESIGN AND BUILDING OF NEW EXHIBITS AND HAVE, OVER THE PAST 20 YEARS, CONTRIBUTED MORE THAN $21 MILLION TO THIS EFFORT.
