VETS ADVOCACY IS A PRIVATELY-FUNDED, NON-PROFIT ADVOCACY ORGANIZATION ESTABLISHED TO FACILITATE THE REVITALIZATION OF THE WEST LOS ANGELES VETERANS AFFAIRS CAMPUS AS A CONDITION OF THE VALENTINI VS. SHINSEKI SETTLEMENT. VETS ADVOCACY IS FOCUSED ON IMPROVING WELL-BEING AND ENDING HOMELESSNESS IN LA'S VETERAN COMMUNITY THROUGH ADVOCACY EFFORTS THAT UNIFY KEY STAKEHOLDERS STRATEGICALLY IN ORDER TO GALVANIZE POLITICAL WILL AT LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVELS.

TO DEVELOP EDUCATIONAL AND SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS AND CONDUCT SCIENTIFIC RESEARCH FOR THE PURPOSE OF OBTAINING SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION, WHICH WILL BE PUBLISHED IN TREATISE, THESIS, TRADE PUBLICATIONS, OR IN OTHER FORMS THAT ARE AVAILABLE TO THE INTERESTED PUBLIC.

TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC CONCERNING THE PLIGHT OF LOW-INCOME TENANTS AND POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE CRISIS

To carry on a continuing program of research, education, information and organization, focused on low-income housing and directed toward those persons of low and moderate incomes who want to improve their housing conditions;

TO CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR THE PUBLIC, BY EVALUATING AFFORDABLE HOUSING ORGANIZATIONS AND INSPIRING THEM TO EXCEL IN PROVIDING SAFE, WELL MANAGED, HIGH QUALITY AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THEIR COMMUNITIES.

The Washington Housing Alliance Action Fund elects candidates, educates voters and decision-makers, and amplifies the voices and priorities of people and communities most impacted by housing instability and homelessness.
