THE DAVID AND LIBBY ROSEN CENTER FOR HEALTHY FAMILIES PROMOTES COMMUNITY HEALTH AND WELLNESS BY FOCUSING ON FAMILIES USING PROGRAMS THAT HAVE IMPACT, EVIDENCE SHOWING EFFECTIVENESS, AND CAN BE ADAPTED TO THE SITUATION USING PUBLIC-PRIVATE PARTNERSHIPS THAT SUPPORT THE DELIVERY OF THESE HIGH- QUALITY, RESEARCH-DRIVEN PROGRAMS.

BIOADVANCE WAS ESTABLISHED IN 2001 AS ONE OF THREE LIFE SCIENCES GREENHOUSES FUNDED WITH A SHARE OF PENNSYLVANIA'S NATIONAL TOBACCO SETTLEMENT REVENUES, TO PROMOTE HUMAN HEALTH BY SUPPORTING BIOMEDICAL INNOVATION IN THE SOUTHEASTERN PA REGION. BIOADVANCE DEDICATED $25 MILLION OF THE ORIGINAL GRANT FUNDING FOR PRE-SEED AND EARLY-STAGE FUNDING TO HELP MOVE TECHNOLOGIES TO THE NEXT STAGE OF DEVELOPMENT AND TO SUPPORT THE INITIATIVES INTENDED TO INCREASE THE REGION'S STRENGTH IN BIOMEDICAL INFORMATICS AND CLINICAL TRIALS. SINCE THE ORIGINAL GRANT FUNDING WAS EXPENDED, BIOADVANCE CONTINUES TO SUPPORT EMERGING LIFE SCIENCES COMPANIES IN SOUTHEASTERN PA AND THE SURROUNDING MID-ATLANTIC REGION THAT ARE FOCUSED ON TECHNOLOGIES TO IMPROVE HUMAN HEALTH.

WHOLE CHILD RECOGNIZES THAT QUALITY OF CARE HAS A PROFOUND IMPACT ON CHILDRENS DEVELOPMENT. AS A RESULT, WHOLE CHILD SPECIALIZES IN RELATIONSHIP-CENTERED CARE FOR CHILDREN - RESPONSIVE, CONSISTENT CARE THAT ENGENDERS STABLE ATTACHMENTS AND TRUSTING BONDS BETWEEN CHILDREN AND THEIR PRIMARY CAREGIVERS. IN ADDITION, WHOLE CHILD UNDERSTANDS THE NEED TO CATALYZE SYSTEMIC CHANGE. WHOLE CHILD HAS DEVELOPED INNOVATIVE AND SCALABLE TOOLS, TRAINING PROGRAMS, AND PRACTICES THAT SUPPORT GOVERNMENTS AND KEY LOCAL PARTNERS TO MAKE LASTING, POSITIVE IMPROVEMENTS ACROSS THE CHILD PROTECTION AND CHILDCARE SYSTEMS. WHOLE CHILD'S INTERVENTION MODEL IDENTIFIES AND LEVERAGES KEY POINTS, STAKEHOLDERS, AND PROCESSES IN THE CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEM TO INDUCE SUSTAINABLE, POSITIVE CHANGE. IT IS ESSENTIAL TO UNDERSTAND THAT IMPROVING THE CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEM DOES NOT MEAN WORKING ONLY WITHIN THE CHILD PROTECTION SYSTEM. WHOLE CHILD WORKS WITH AND ACROSS A SPECTRUM OF STAKEHOLDERS.
