Travelers Aid

THE PRIMARY MISSION IS TO HELP INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES STEP OUT OF HOMELESSNESS AND BACK INTO THE COMMUNITY IN SALT LAKE COUNTY. THE ROAD HOME MEETS THIS MISSION BY PROVIDING HOUSING-FOCUSED, EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAMS, ALONG WITH COMPREHENSIVE HOUSING AND SERVICES.

TRAVELERS AID SOCIETY IS COMMITTED TO PREVENTING HOMELESSNESS AND TO HELPING HOMELESS OR STRANDED FAMILIES AND INDIVIDUALS REGAIN A SELF-SUFFICIENT LIFESTYLE. IN BRIEF, TRAVELERS AID SOCIETY PROVIDES CRISIS COUNSELING AND JOB SEARCH ASSISTANCE FOR HOMELESS INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES.

TO PROVIDE HOUSING PLACEMENT ACTIVITIES AS WELL AS EMERGENCY AND CRISIS ASSISTANCE TO INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES IN TRANSITION, THE HOMELESS, UNEMPLOYED, RUNAWAYS, VICTIMS OF DOMESTIC VIOLENCE, VULNERABLE TRAVELERS, THE ELDERLY, THE HANDICAPPED, AND CHILDREN TRAVELING ALONE IN THE METROPOLITAN DETROIT AREA.

HEARTLAND HUMAN CARE SERVICES, INC. AIMS TO ACHIEVE FREEDOM FROM WANT, FEAR AND INJUSTICE FOR PEOPLE MARGINALIZED BY POVERTY, DISPLACEMENT OR SITUATIONS OF VULNERABILITY BY DEVELOPING A CONTINUUM OF SERVICES THAT MEET BASIC NEEDS, (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O) BUILD STRENGTHS, SAFEGUARD HUMAN RIGHTS AND PROVIDE POSITIVE OPPORTUNITIES FOR CHANGE.

TO PROVIDE SECURE AND TEMPORARY HOUSING AND SUPPORT SERVICES AS HOMELESS ADULTS AND FAMILIES TRANSITION TO MORE STABLE HOUSING.

TO PROVIDE FIRST AID, EMERGENCY CARE, AND AMBULANCE SERVICES TO THE RESIDENTS OF WOODLAND PARK, NEW JERSEY.

TRANSPORTATION, RECREATION, TELEPHONE, & INTERNET, AND INFORMATION SUPPORT FOR UP TO 35,000 SHIP'S CREW MEMBERS WHO DOCK AT THE PORT OF TEXAS CITY.

TRAVELERS AID INTERNATIONAL EXISTS TO ENSURE THAT PEOPLE IN TRANSIT RECEIVE ASSISTANCE WHEN AND WHERE IT IS NEEDED IN COMMUNITIES AND TRAVEL HUBS. OUR GOAL HAS ALWAYS BEEN TO PROVIDE A NATIONWIDE CONTINUUM OF SERVICES, CONNECTED ACROSS COMMUNITIES, FROM CRISIS INTERVENTION THROUGH TRANSITIONAL SERVICES, THAT PROVIDES OPPORTUNITIES FOR INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES TO ACHIEVE THEIR HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVEL OF SELF-SUFFICIENCY. RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF GREATER CHARLOTTE EXTENDS A GRACIOUS WELCOME AND A MUCH-NEEDED RESPITE TO FAMILIES TRAVELING TO CHARLOTTE, NC FOR SHORT-TERM AND EXTENDED HOSPITAL STAYS. RONALD MCDONALD HOUSE OF GREATER CHARLOTTE IS A HAVEN FOR HOSPITALIZED CHILDREN - PROVIDING COMFORTS OF HOME AND THE SUPPORT OF OTHER FAMILIES FACING SIMILAR SITUATIONS. IT STRIVES TO KEEP FAMILIES CLOSE TO THEIR SERIOUSLY ILL CHILDREN,PROVIDING THE WARMTH AND COMFORT OF HOME, ALONG WITH EMOTIONAL SUPPORTAND EDUCATION TO PROMOTE THE WELL-BEING OF THE ENTIRE FAMILY. THEFACILITY PRIMARILY SERVES CHILDREN BEING TREATED AT CAROLINAS MEDICAL CENTER AND AT NOVANT HEALTH. THE FACILITY HAS 28 PRIVATE SUITES AND BEDROOMS, ALONG WITH A COMMUNITY FAMILY KITCHEN, GREAT ROOM, LIBRARY, PLAYGROUND AND SITTING PORCHES

THE ORGANIZATIONS MISSION IS TO STOP THE UNNECESSARY DEATHS OF MIGRANTS CROSSING THE MEXICAN BORDER THROUGH THE DESERT AND MOUNTAIN AREAS OF SOUTH SAN DIEGO COUNTY.

THE RECREATIONAL AVIATION FOUNDATION PRESERVES, IMPROVES, AND CREATES AIRSTRIPS FOR RECREATIONAL ACCESS.
