THE MISSION OF THE SIMONS LAUFER MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES INSTITUTE (SLMATH) IS TO: FOSTER AND COMMUNICATE MATHEMATICAL RESEARCH IN A BROAD RANGE OF FUNDAMENTAL TOPICS AND APPLICATIONS, DEVELOP MATHEMATICAL TALENT AND CULTIVATE A SENSE OF BELONGING AND ENGAGEMENT, AND INSPIRE AN APPRECIATION OF THE POWER, BEAUTY, AND JOY OF MATHEMATICS.

THE INSTITUTE OF MATHEMATICAL STATISTICS IS AN INTERNATIONAL PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY DEVOTED TO THE DEVELOPMENT AND DISSEMINATION OF THE THEORY AND APPLICATION OF STATISTICS AND PROBABILITY. ITS ACTIVITIES INCLUDE (CONTINUED ON SCHEDULE O)SPONSORSHIP OF JOURNALS AND OTHER SCIENTIFIC PUBLICATIONS, ORGANIZATION OF SCIENTIFIC MEETINGS AND COOPERATION WITH OTHER SCIENTIFIC ORGANIZATIONS.

THE COUNCIL OF PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS ON FEDERAL STATISTICS (COPAFS) IS DEVOTED TO EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES AND TO PRESERVING THE PUBLIC GOOD REPRESENTED BY FEDERAL STATISTICAL COLLECTIONS.SINCE 1980, COPAFS HAS PROVIDED AN OPEN DIALOG BETWEEN THOSE WHO USE FEDERAL STATISTICS IN PROFESSIONAL CONTEXTS AND THE FEDERAL STATISTICAL AGENCIES THAT PRODUCE THOSE STATISTICS FOR THE PUBLIC GOOD. SUPPORTING ORGANIZATIONS INCLUDE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATIONS, BUSINESSES, RESEARCH INSTITUTES, AND OTHERS THAT HELP TO PRODUCE AND/OR USE FEDERAL STATISTICS.OUR GOAL:ADVANCING EXCELLENCE IN FEDERAL STATISTICS

INCORPORATED IN 1952 AS A NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION, SIAM HAS WORKED TOWARD THE FOLLOWING GOALS FOR MORE THAN 70 YEARS:-TO ADVANCE THE APPLICATION OF MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTATIONAL SCIENCE TO ENGINEERING, INDUSTRY, SCIENCE, AND SOCIETY;-TO PROMOTE RESEARCH THAT WILL LEAD TO EFFECTIVE NEW MATHEMATICAL AND COMPUTATIONAL METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR SCIENCE, ENGINEERING, INDUSTRY, AND SOCIETY;-TO PROVIDE MEDIA FOR THE EXCHANGE OF INFORMATION AND IDEAS AMONG MATHEMATICIANS, ENGINEERS, AND SCIENTISTS.

TO INSPIRE AND ENABLE INDIVIDUALS TO DISCOVER AND DEVELOP THEIR MATHEMATICAL CONFIDENCE AND ABILITY. OUR PROGRAMS DEVELOP STUDENTS' DEEP UNDERSTANDINGS OF MATHEMATICAL CONCEPTS, PROFICIENCY WITH KEY SKILLS, AND ABILITY TO SOLVE COMPLEX AND NOVEL PROBLEMS.

To publish and issue exclusively for scientific and educational purposes a journal dealing with mathematics and related subjects, and to carry on other activities associated with these purposes as allowed by law.

To promote the development and application of bayesian statistical methods by sponsoring and organizing meetings, publishing of a newsletter and journal, and sponsor academic awards and maintain a webpage conference organization.

Through its programs, the Center seeks high achieving high school and university students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds to further develop their mathematical and scientific skills.

To publish scientific and research literature of the highest quality, both in content and production, at the lowest reasonable cost; to generally improve the scientific-publishing environment that fosters scientific activity; to facilitate, and help others facilitate, scholarly communication and research; and to generally serve the scientific and research communities.

THE ASSOCIATION FOR WOMEN IN MATEMATICS CREATES A COMMUNITY IN WHICH WOMEN AND GIRLS CAN THRIVE IN THEIR MATHEMATICAL ENDEAVORS AND TO PROMOTE EQUITABLE OPPORTUNITY AND GENDER-INCLUSIVITY ACROSS THE MATHEMATICAL SCIENCES.

TO STRENGTHEN THE MATHEMATICAL PREPARATION OF ALL STUDENTS BY SUPPORTING & EXPANDING THE COMMUNITY OF TEACHER-PRACTITIONERS AT THE UNDERGRADUATE, GRADUATE, & PRE-COLLEGE LEVELS IN INQUIRY-BASED LEARNING (IBL) BY:- DEVELOPING COLLABORATIVE NETWORKS OF TEACHER-PRACTITIONERS,- SUPPORTING THE CREATION OF TEACHING MATERIALS, RESOURCES, & PEDAGOGICAL PRACTICES INFORMED BY MATHEMATICS EDUCATION RESEARCH,- INCLUDING TEACHERS & STUDENTS FROM TRADITIONALLY UNDERREPRESENTED BACKGROUNDS IN MATHEMATICS IN THE PRACTICE OF IBL,- TRAINING GRADUATE STUDENTS & POST-DOCTORAL FELLOWS IN IBL METHODS, &- RPOVIDING WORKSHOPS & CONFERENCES FOCUSED ON IBL PRACTICE & ITS ASSESSMENT
