Girls on the Run Georgia

Girls on the Run Georgia, a council of Girls on the Run International, proudly serves children in 3rd-8th grades in Athens, Greater Atlanta, and North Georgia. Our mission is to inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum which creatively integrates running. Our programs are designed to enhance participants' social, emotional and physical skills to successfully navigate life experiences. Our fun, interactive lessons meet the unique needs of participants of all abilities and backgrounds. Since our council’s inception in 2000, we have unlocked the power and potential in our more than 40,000 participants and made a lasting impact on our community through participant-led service projects.

I decided to become a Girls on the Run coach when I read about the principles and core values of this program. Girls in upper elementary school often struggle with image, self-worth and defining who they are. I want to help these girls build a firm character foundation and a mentally and physically healthy future! – Bonnie, Coach
