Hometown Hero

Hudson Crossing Park Inc falls under the Parks & Playgrounds category: Organizations that develop, maintain and make available to the general public recreational areas which are equipped with athletic fields and courts, campgrounds, picnic areas and a variety of recreational trails such as bridle trails, hiking trails, off-the-road vehicle trails and snowmobile trails.

Hudson Crossing Park was created for the community, by the community. Founded in 2005, a team of dedicated volunteers joined together to turn neglected property centered on Champlain Canal Lock 5 Island into a thriving park with something for everyone. Today HCP welcomes more than 10,000 visitors each year and hosts educational programs, special events, and offers over two miles of walking and biking trails, Hudson River and Canal water access, picnic facilities, and more.
