LGBT Centers

NoVA Prism Center is a private library and community center serving the Northern Virginia LGBTQIA+ community through providing access to educational and community resources highlighting LGBT+ lives, bodies, and history, with a focus on supporting teens, young adults, and multiply marginalized communities in the region. We seek to break down the disparity between the large local LGBTQIA+ population and the lack of local resources, with an emphasis on equity, community, and compassion.

GRASSROOTS AGENCY LOCATED IN THE SOUTH BRONX THAT PROVIDES TO AND FOR THE LGBTQ COMMUNITY. IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT NO ONE SHOULD HAVE TO LEAVE THEIR NEIGHBORHOOD TO ACCESS LGBTQ SPECIFIC SERVICES. IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT ALL LGBTQ YOUNG PEOPLE DESERVE A SPACE TO GROW, LEARN, AND FLOURISH. IT IS OUR BELIEF THAT PEOPLE, REGARDLESS OF THEIR SEXUAL IDENTITY OF GENDER EXPRESSION,DESERVE A SPACE THEY CAN CALL THEIR OWN.

BRAVE SPACE ALLIANCE IS THE FIRST BLACK-LED, TRANS-LED LGBTQ+ CENTER LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF CHICAGO, DEDICATED TO CREATING AND PROVIDING AFFIRMING, CULTURALLY COMPETENT, FOR-US BY-US RESOURCES, PROGRAMMING, AND SERVICES FOR LGBTQ+ INDIVIDUALS ON THE SOUTH AND WEST SIDES OF THE CITY. WE STRIVE TO EMPOWER, EMBOLDEN, AND EDUCATE EACH OTHER THROUGH MUTUAL AID, KNOWLEDGE-SHARING, AND THE CREATION OF COMMUNITY-SOURCED RESOURCES AS WE BUILD TOWARD THE LIBERATION OF ALL OPPRESSED PEOPLES.

THE LGBT TECHNOLOGY INSTITUTE IS THE NATION'S PREMIER ORGANIZATION WORKING TO BRIDGE THE TECHNOLOGY GAP FOR ALL LGBTQ INDIVIDUALS. THE INSTITUTE WORKS WITH INDIVIDUALS AND COMMUNITIES AND ENGAGES IN RESEARCH, EDUCATION, VOLUNTEERISM, AND PARTNERSHIPS TO PROVIDE CUTTING-EDGE TECHNOLOGY AND RESOURCES TO IMPROVE THE LIVES OF LGBTQ INDIVIDUALS, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT ARE DISADVANTAGED.

EXISTS TO CREATE A CHAMPAIGN COUNTY WHERE ALL WHO IDENTIFY AS SEXUAL AND/OR GENDER MINORITIES CAN LIFE FULL, HEALTHY, AND VIBRANT LIVES.

EDUCATION

TO PROMOTE EQUALITY, SAFETY, AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOR WESTERN NORTH CAROLINA'S LGBTQ AND ALLIED COMMUNITIES, WORKING AS A UNITED COMMUNITY THROUGH ADVOCACY, CELEBRATION, EDUCATION AND SERVICE.

TO IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF LIFE FOR RURAL LGBTQ+ PEOPLE IN SOUTH CENTRAL INDIANA BY: FOSTERING ALLYSHIP AND UNDERSTANDING THROUGH EDUCATION AND ADVOCACY, CREATING SAFE SPACES THAT SUPPORT PHYSICAL AND MENTAL WELL-BEING, AND ADDRESSING SOCIAL INEQUITIES THAT STEM FROM THE UNIQUE INTERSECTIONALITY OF QUEER AND RURAL IDENTITIES.

IDA STRIVES TO PROMOTE THE LIVELIHOOD OF GLQBT PERSONS BY PROVIDING A SAFE SPACE IN A RURAL AREA FOR PERSONS MARGINALIZED DUE TO THEIR GENDER, RACE, CULTURAL OR SOCIO-ECONOMIC POSITION.
