The Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) is a network of programs and institutions, working on practical solutions to implement the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the Paris Agreement on Climate Change, through education, research, policy analysis, and global cooperation.
“My engagement with the SDSN Youth Students Program opened a door to UNICEF Youth Advocates. I help the programming to ensure meaningful engagement for young people passionate about the SDGs. Through the role, I also work to make sure children’s rights are included in broader youth policy”
SDG Coordinator, Ezra Yego (Nairobi, Kenya)
SDSN Youth is the global youth program of the SDSN, leading initiatives on: education advocacy for K-12, sustainable campuses, sustainable cities, and entrepreneurship. Each program follows a three-step theory of change: educate and train volunteers; ideate and collaborate in communities; then implement and scale the solution.
We are a network of universities, research centers, and other knowledge institutions translate the latest expertise in sustainable development into action by: research, education, and solution initiatives.
The SDG Academy is SDSN's flagship education initiative. We bring together the world’s experts to create and deliver educational content on critical issues for the future of people and planet, including health, education, climate change, agriculture and food systems, and sustainable investment. sdgacademy.org
This Thematic Network seeks to identify practical solutions for improving urban management. It 2013 the network initiated the Campaign for an Urban Sustainable Development Goal, which was crucial for the inclusion of Goal 11 in the SDGs. Since 2015 the Network has been working alongside SDSN's regional and national networks, and other thematic groups, to support the implementation of the SDGs in cities.
We run a number of research initiatives such as: America's Zero Carbon Action Plan (ZCAP), Deep Decarbonization Pathways Project (DDPP), Roadmap to 2050, Low-Emissions Solutions Conference (LESC), Cities and Climate Change Science, and Legal Pathways to US Decarbonization.
