We also help develop the soft skills necessary to transition to the civilian workforce. The majority of our students are in a momentous period of transition from military service to civilian life, and we provide a safe space for students to reorient from being a military professional to a civilian professional.

Strides for Peace created the Race Against Gun Violence (RAGV) to build a new platform to support community organizations and bring people together around the collective vision of a Chicago free from the fear of gun violence. The race is a 5K, 8K, kids race, and two-mile walk that convenes a diverse group of organizations and people who share the common vision of a Chicago where all can thrive.
