The CDC Foundation is an independent nonprofit and the sole entity created by Congress to mobilize philanthropic and private-sector resources to support the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s critical health protection work. The Cahoon Museum of American Art is Cape Cod’s most unique art museum, bringing historic and contemporary art to life in innovative ways. Housed in an authentic 1782 homestead with a modern gallery addition, the Museum preserves, exhibits, and interprets an outstanding collection of American art that spans from the 1800s through contemporary art. The museum has an extensive gift shop, an exhibition study area, and offers art exhibitions, docent tours, educational programs, and special events throughout the year. THE MISSION OF THE FRIENDS OF THE MUSEUM IS TO LEARN ABOUT AND INTEREST OTHERS IN THE HISTORY AND CULTURE OF THE EAST OTTER TAIL COUNTY. MINNESOTA AND SURROUNDING AREAS. This includes three entities open to the public in Perham, Minnesota: The History Museum of East Otter Tail County, The In Their Own Words Veterans Museum and Perham Pioneer Village. The History Museum maintains a collection of artifacts, original documents and provides free, online access to local historical records and photographs. Expert genealogy support is available.
