"La Asociación LARA cnació en febrero de 2002 para cuidar y proteger a una de las especies más infravaloradas de muchos países: los gatos. El desconocimiento sobre estos animales los rodea de sentimientos negativos, cuando en realidad son extremadamente inteligentes, sensibles y empáticos. Actualmente LARA tiene más de 300 gatos. No sacrificamos, por lo que muchos de ellos son ancianos y enfermos que buscan un hogar para pasar felices y en paz los últimos años de sus vidas. "The Farm Animal Sanctuary was established nearly 40 years ago by our founder Jan Taylor. On a wet February morning, all those years ago, Jan visited a livestock market and witnessed the horrors unfolding before her. Sick, malnourished, diseased and deformed animals were being offered up for sale. Some were motionless and hanging on to life by a thread, unloved and unwanted. Jan’s heart extended out to these poor neglected creatures and she went on to purchase over 60 animals at several livestock markets in England and Wales. "HKDR was founded in 2003 for the specific purpose of saving dogs and puppies from the Hong Kong Government’s Agriculture, Fisheries and Conservation Department (AFCD) Animal Management Centres, where at that time thousands of dogs and puppies were destroyed every year. These days most of the dogs and puppies taken in by HKDR come from a variety of other sources. Some of these dogs are ex-breeder dogs, those that are no longer useful for the purpose of producing puppies for the pet trade. They are inevitably in poor health and condition due to their previous hard lives, and they need extensive veterinary treatment, including surgery. Of the dogs and puppies lucky enough to be rescued by HKDR, the larger ones will be taken care of at our main Tai Po Homing Centre, while smaller dogs and puppies awaiting re-homing stay at the Kennedy Town Homing Centre. As much as possible, very young puppies are placed in temporary foster care where they can live in a home environment before being permanently adopted. "The Bermuda Audubon Society (BAS) is a membership society run by an executive committee of volunteers. BAS has no premises or paid staff and relies on voluntary assistance and donations to meet our goals. Our mission is "To conserve Bermuda's special bird life and habitats for the benefit of all." The Bermuda Audubon Society was the first conservation organisation on the island incorporated specifically to acquire land for nature reserves. Since 1963 the Society has acquired 18 nature reserves totaling over 60 acres by purchase, gift, bequest, and lease. Since 1972 the Society has undertaken major restoration on some of these reserves, including the rehabilitation of several marshlands and ponds which had been filled as garbage dump sites in the early part of the 20th century. Woodland management through culling of invasive species and planting of natives and endemics is ongoing. In 2004 the Society collaborated with the Bermuda National Trust to form the Buy Back Bermuda Campaign, which raises money to buy precious remaining open space to save it from development. "Tout a commencé le 1er février 2017, où une amie m’a dit « Florian vient voir chez une amie, il y a un chat attaché à un radiateur ! ». Me voilà donc parti chez cette personne. Arrivé sur place, je constate choqué que le chat était attaché au radiateur. Je dis à mon amie « Mais on ne peut pas laisser faire ça ! ». Elle me rétorque « Bah que veux-tu faire ? ». A ce moment, je me dis qu’il y a quelque chose à faire. En rentrant chez moi je me mets tout de suite à rechercher sur internet une association de protection des animaux sur la Creuse. Florian Chavignaud, association Pet's Rescue France (Aubusson) A ce moment-là je me rends compte que c’est le néant. Les deux seuls résultats que je trouve après quelques heures de recherche, sont deux associations qui bien sûr ne font pas d’enquêtes. Après avoir conversé avec une personne, cette dernière m’a renvoyée vers la Fondation Brigitte Bardot. Enfin, des personnes qui m’ont entendu ! La Fondation m’a demandé de leur envoyer par mail, l’enquête réalisée par l’enquêtrice. Plus tard, j’apprends que la personne qui avait attaché le chat au radiateur, avait pris deux chiens de plus. Et je ne compte pas les autres animaux qu’elle avait auparavant. Il faut savoir que cette personne a déjà été condamnée et s’est faite retirer deux chiens dans un état critique, 2 ans auparavant. J’ai recontacté la Fondation qui m’avait dit que l’enquêtrice prendrait contact directement avec moi. En discutant avec elle, elle m’apprend qu’elle n’avait pu voir que les deux chiens. La personne lui avait dit que le chat était dans la cuisine et qu’il n’était pas possible de rentrer car cette dernière était sale. L’enquêtrice dans la conversation en est venue à la question du chat attaché. Elle lui a répondu « Oui je l’attache. Mais que quand j’ouvre la fenêtre car j’ai déjà perdu un chaton auparavant ». Tout ceci pour vous dire qu’avant cette affaire, je n’étais pas au courant de la maltraitance animale ou du moins très peu. Sachant qu’il y avait peu d’associations, j’ai décidé d’en faire mon combat et de lutter contre ce fléau.
