Strengthening families living through childhood cancer

Together, we create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. Since 1982, Make-A-Wish Minnesota has granted more than 6,000 wishes to create hope, strength and joy for wish kids, their families and entire communities. While Make-A-Wish is a national organization, our Minnesota chapter is “small but mighty” with a staff of 20 and a core of 460 dedicated volunteers. We take our responsibility for financial donations made very seriously and rely solely on charitable giving to grant wishes for Minnesota children with critical illnesses statewide. Contributions come from individuals, corporations, special events and foundation grants.

OUR MISSION IS TO STRENGTHEN DISASTER RESPONSE IN AMERICA BY RESCUING AND RECRUITING DOGS AND PARTNERING THEM WITH FIREFIGHTERS AND OTHER FIRST RESPONDERS TO FIND PEOPLE BURIED ALIVE IN THE WRECKAGE OF DISASTERS. Founded in 1996, the National Disaster Search Dog Foundation (SDF) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, non-governmental organization based in Santa Paula, California. We offer professionally trained canines and an ongoing training program at no cost to fire departments. And we ensure lifetime care for every dog in our program: once rescued, these dogs never need to be rescued again.
